Credit Information Management System (CRIMS) was launched on 1st January 2008. Developed on the latest state-of-the-Art information and communication technology infrastructure CRIMS offers near instant access to the consumer and commercial credit data collected across in pre-defined electronic format from all licensed financial institutions in the country.
Key objective of this major investment of CRIB was to improve the accuracy of the credit information disseminated by the bureau in the form of credit reports. The manual process which largely depended on human intervention in many operational areas like credit records updates in the database and processing of credit reports exposed CRIB to many disputes. This trend created an adverse impact on the integrity of the services and challenged the very reason for its establishment and existence.

Secured Transaction Register (STR) will be an electronic notice board for registering & searching the details of debtors and collateral's which are pledged as securities when Credit is granted on movable assets. For more details refer Secured Transactions Act No. 49 of 2009.
